Schedule of Events for McAfee Marker ceremony - Sept. 13, 2008
Message sent on Aug. 19, 2008, regarding the S.A.R. markers for McAfee ancestors, from
"Rev. Chilton has given a time of 11:00 am. for the Marker dedication. He indicated that the Revolutionary uniforms are very hot and an early service would minimize getting too hot in them. Also would allow for those interested to gather for a lunch afterwards.
Schedule of events
Meet at New Providence Cemetery in McAfee, Mercer County, Ky PRIOR to 11:00 am. on Saturday Sept. 13, 2008.
I understand that several will be traveling some distance to attend, scheduling several weeks prior does not allow for weather, therefore I'm sure the ceremony will go on regardless. We will try and have a tent on site for shade or in case of rain.
