McAfee Kin

Descendants of John McAfee Jr. and Mary Rogers, through their children James McAfee Sr. and Mary McAfee Curry

In October, 2007, the first reunion of McAfee descendants was held in Mercer Co., Kentucky (due to the great efforts of Luther Davenport and other McAfee cousins). It was decided to hold a reunion every 5 years. To help McAfee cousins keep in touch, Luther proposed a periodic newsletter to share information.

This webpage is maintained by Jenny Tenlen, and archives McAfee newsletters and other information. I will also use it to announce any updates and additions to the McAfee website.

If you are a McAfee descendant and wish to be added to the McAfee mailing list or a McAfee contact circle, please contact . If you would like to contribute to the newsletter, Luther asks: "Everyone knows the history on the pioneer brothers, but wouldn't it be nice to learn more about the younger generations? Please submit stories about your particular lines. For example: Allen Davenport, grandson of James, was a soldier in the War of 1812 at age 15. Beriah Magoffin Jr., son of a governor, was a POW during Civil War and escaped from prison camp. Another descendant of George survived the Bataan Death March of WWII." Please email your contributions to .
