"Thank you Kate Jacques for allowing me to post these. Attached is George McAfee's marker. Of course just like all of the brothers, his service is not limited to what is listed, but this particular service was most documented. And you may be wondering why it says ILL. Reg. This is what Clark's army was called after he conquered the Illinios territory. George was also listed as a spy. This was the term used in that day as a scout and only the bravest and best woodsmen were selected for such dangerous duty, often moving well to the advance of the army."
