McAfee Reunion - May 24-27, 2013
An update on plans for another reunion of McAfee descendants, from
Preliminary plans are being made for an upcoming reunion of McAfee descendants!
When: May 24-27 2013 (Memorial Day Weekend)
Where: James McAfee Jr. Stone House (McAfee Station site), Harrodsburg, Mercer County, KY
Who: Anyone who descends or thinks they descend from one of the Pioneer McAfee brothers or sisters who settled the Salt River area of Kentucky, or any person with an interest in this family, early Kentucky/pioneer history.
What: Of course final plans have not been finalized for this event, but a reunion was held 2007 that included a driving tour of McAfee sites, SAR grave marker dedication for James Jr. and William McAfee (Robert, Samuel, and George have since been honored as well). Church service at Providence Church (the congregation provided a meal and dressed in period attire for our group).
