Winlock Pioneer of '54 Dies

Winlock, Nov. 17, - A. J. Flesher aged 87, died at a Centralia hospital Monday. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W.H. S. Clark of Winlock; and three sons, H. J. Flesher and Elmer Flesher of Winlock and William Flesher of Centralia. Mr Flesher was the last of seventeen white people to land on Layton's prairie, east of Toledo in 1854. He would have been 88 in January, 1932. He was married in 1872 to Nancy Broshears and they made their home on Drew's prairie east of here and vicinity ever since. Nine children were born to them. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at Cattermole's chapel.
