"Death Comes to Centralian"

Mrs. Alice May Irish, 69, a resident of Centralia for 64 years, died Monday evening in a local nursing home following a lingering illness. The family home is at 1003 Marion street.

Mrs. Irish was born March 6, 1886, at Wesington, S.D. She was a member of the Salvation Army.

She is survived by two sons, Wlater C., Chehalis and Merville F., Vancouver; six daughters, Mrs. Laura Jensen, Vancouver; Mrs. Dorothy Hill, San Bernadino, Calif.; Mrs. Elsie Aldrich, Morton; Mrs. Lila Smith, Renton; Mrs. Velma Wischnesky, Vancouver, and Mrs. Ruby Ragan, Centralia; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Rueben Towner, Centralia, and Arthur Towner, Walla Walla, and five sisters, Mrs. Jennie Mitchell, Mrs. Grace Rain and Mrs. Margaret Foster, all of Centralia; Mrs. Lily Shore, Tacoma, and Mrs. Florene Mulford, Zellah.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, at Sticklin's Centralia chapel, with Major Clark of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial park.
