Death Comes to Pioneer Woman
Mrs. Catherine Henriot Dies - Came to Lewis County 54 Years Ago.

Friends of Mrs. Catherine Henriot were shocked and grieved Saturday morning to learn of her death at St. Vincent's hospital at Portland where she had been taken but a few days previously. Mrs. Henriot had been unwell for some time past but the serious nature of her ailmet, which was an affection of the liver, was not fully realized until a few days previous to her death. With the hope that relief might be obtained an operation was performed, from which she failed to rally. The body was brought to Chehalis Saturday. The funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Monday morning. Rev. Father McGrath officitated and there was a large attendance, many coming from a large distance to pay their last respects. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes. The body was taken to Tacoma, where burial was held at Calvary cemetery, directed by the John W. Boone Mortuary.

She belonged to the Women of Woodcraft at Winlock and locally took an active interest in the Chehalis American Legion Auxillary.
