Ex-Resident Succumbs
A former longtime Centralia resident, Claude T. Johnson, 72, died Sunday evening at the Vancouver, Wash., Veteran's hospital.
He was born Nov. 19, 1889, in Frankfort, Ky., and was a Raymond resident for the past ten years and a former resident of Centralia.
Johnson was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Centralia Eagles' Aerie 512 and the Grant Hodge American Legion post 17.
Surviors [sic] include a son, Delmer Johnson, Portland, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Sticklin Funeral Home, Centralia. The Rev. N. Harry Champlin will officiate. Burial will be at the Greenwood Memorial Park.
