Death Takes Centralian

Harold A. Tanner, 75, a resident of Centralia for the past six years, died early Thursday morning at his home following a five-year illness.

Born Oct. 2, 1886, in Massachusetts, he moved to Seattle in 1931 from Omaha, neb., where he was a superintendent of construction for the Texas Co. He lived in Seattle for some 16 years and farmed at route 4, Chehalis for nine years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include his widow, Marie K. Tanner, Centralia; two sons, Elmer Tanner, Denver, Colo., and Lyle Tanner, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence L. Ipe, Centralia, and Mrs. Lowell B. Gardner, Denver; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m., at Greenwood Memorial Park, with the Rev. Roger Gillerstrom officiating. Arrangements are by the Sticklin Funeral Home, Centralia.
