Passes at Onalaska

ONALASKA - Sidney W. Alexander, a former long-time Centralia resident, died early Thursday at his home here after a lingering illness. He was 83.

Mr. Alexander was born July 27, 1878, in Golden, Ill. He had made his home in Onalaska for the past 5 years. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in February. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Frankfort, S.D., and the Onalaska Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors, in addition to the widow, Ada, at home, include three sons, Clarence W., Reseda, Calif.; Roy H., Centralia and Dale L., Onalaska; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond L. Peterson and Mrs. Walter H. Haslerud, both Centralia; one brother Dr. I. W. Alexander, Santa Monica, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m Saturday in the Sticklin Funeral Home, Centralia, with the Rev. Kenneth L. Robinson officiating. Vault intombment [sic] will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
