4-H Teams Take Puyallup Fair Honors
Lewis County 4-H judging teams copped three first place awards over the weekend at the Western Washington Fair at Puyallup.
The first place honors were won in senior poultry, senior livestock and senior foods judging. Mike Dooms was highest individual in poultry judging and Linda Haskins, highest individual in senior foods.
Members of the 4-H poultry judging team were Jim Volk, Tom Durgin, Mike Dooms and Dale Hansen. The livestock judgers were James Wedam, Roberta Pahl, Tom Heck and Judy Reosbery, and girls of the senior foods team, Linda Haskin, Anne Billingsley, Dianna Hendricks, and Eileen Roe.
The Lewis County junior poultry judging team place third with Gregg Griffith scoring second high individual honors. A junior garden team scored second place with judgers being Jim Kraemer, Stanley Riedesel, Walter Billingsley and John Newby.
The senior garden team placed fourth; junior foods, seventh; junior livestock, 12th; senior clothing, 15th and junior clothing 16th.
