The residents of Green mountain, near Riffe, are anxious to get a postoffice in order that they may get better mail service. They have made application to have the postoffice at the F. D. Heldreth place, to be known as Alta Vista. About fifteen families reside in that vicinity, which is several miles from Riffe, and is located in the finest of timber and farm lands. Peter Adkins, owner of a splendid ranch, is raising a nice dairy herd. He is deeply interested in getting the postoffice and has plans under way for a road that he may have an outlet from his place, which he badly needs.
