COAL MINING TOWN NAMED
SITE OF WASHINGTON COAL & MINING COMPANY'S MINES FOUR MILES FROM KOPIAH TODAY NAMED "BENNIGHT" AFTER MANAGER OF COMPANY ON EASTERN RAILROAD
The site of the Washington Coal & Mining Company's mines, located on the Eastern Railway & Lumber Company's lines four miles from Kopiah, was today named "Bennight" after J. E. Bennight, manager of the company. The company has a thriving townsite, the cabins of the miners making a substantial settlement.
