Lewis County's construction pace fell off some $10,500 during the past week as 40 building permits, valued at a total of $41,015, were issued to Twin City and county residents. Last week's total was over $51,000.
Despite taking out only five permits, county residents were again tops in value with at total of $23,800. Centralians were issued 24 permits worth $10,010, while 11 permits were issued to Chehalis residents. Total Chehalis permit value was $7,205.
The week's most valuable permit went to John Kjosness of Mossyrock for construction of a house and barn. Value of the Kjosness permit is $14,000.
