SCANNELL - Birdie Lee, 76, Randle, passed away March 10th in a morton [sic] hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1884 in Pike County, Ky., and had been a resident of Randle for 70 years. Mrs. Scannell was a charter member of the Trinity Methodist church, Tacoma; a member of Morton chapter No. 164, OES and Randle Grange. Surviving the deceased is a sister, Mrs. Dora Belle Staley, Randle; and aunt; Minnie Phillips, Tacoma. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Randle Community Methodist church under direction of the Fissell Funeral Home with Rev. Albert W. Richardson officiating, Members of OES at Morton conducted graveside services in Silver Creek cemetery.
