The above photo was submitted by Don Olson. "This is a photo of Joseph and Margaret Snow taken in Winlock. Their daughter, Nora is the cropped out person on the right. She probably did that herself. Nora Alice Snow was born 18 July 1882 in Tennessee. The family arrived in Winlock in 1888. She would have been six at that time. She looks to be older than six in this photo. (The "HISTORICAL SKETCHES OF WINLOCK WASHINGTON AND VICINITY" Compiled by C.C, Wall mentions that the first photography gallery in Winlock was started by Ole Wong in 1888. He operated it until 1902, when he sold out to Mrs. George Hall, who continued to operate it for quite a number of years). Nora looks to be at least 10 years old. If so, then this photo may have been taken when Mrs. George Hall had the business." [Joseph and Margaret SNOW are enumerated in the 1910 Census for Winlock]
