A miscellaneous shower was given to Max and Helen Carver at the Ethel Grange hall July 19th by the Ethel Grange. 65 guests were present. The evening consisted of dancing, supper and the opening of gifts.
The home economics "Grange" ladies will meet for their regular meeting at the Grange hall Thursday afternoon July 25th.
Dances will be discontinued at the Ethel Grange until fall.
Ethel takes pride in relating the outcome of the supposedly Puyallup vs. Pe Ell softball champion-of-Thurston-county game which was to take place at the Pomona Grange picnic, Sunday, July 21 at the Lewis & Clark park.
When Pe Ell did not show up, it was decided that Ethel make up a team and play Puyallup. The score was Ethel 12, Puyallup 6.
