M. F. Abrams, aged 64, was found dead on Tuesday in the mill pond of the O'Connell Lumber company at Winlock. Mr. Abrams had been fishing since early in the morning and his son-in-law became worried and started out in search of him. He had been searching but a few minutes when he met two boys who had discovered the body in the water. The old man was rather feeble and it is supposed that he had stepped on a log and was precipitated into the water. The water was not deep, but his feet became imbedded in the soft mud and he was unable to get out. Mr. Abrams came to Winlock with his wife, daughter and son-in-law about three weeks ago from Yakima, where he has three sons. He was a veteran of the Civil war.
