LaVonne writes: "The park is the site of my family's first homestead when Glenoma was Verndale - then Vern - then Glenoma and a couple of Coleman ancestors were mail carriers then - it is the SULPHUR SPRINGS census area. My people were COOK, COLEMAN & HUNT."
