John Herbert Baker, 49, a resident of Chehalis for 24 years, pased [sic] away Tuesday afternoon at a Centralia hospital. he was born July 12, 1892 at Bertram, Minn.

Two sons survive. Mark and Calvin, both of Lebam; his mother, Mrs. Belle Baker, Chehalis; three brothers, Roy, Ted and Nick, all of Chehalis; seven sisters, Mrs. Fritz Olson of Clarkston, Wash., Mrs. L. M. Ferrier of Aberdeen, Mrs. Ross Huffman of Mayfield, Mrs. Claud Cash of Seattle, and Mrs. Nestor Olson, Mrs. Jess Harris and Mrs. Earl Murphy, all of Chehalis; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Salkum church, the Rev. E. R. Whisler officiating. Burial will be in the Salkum cemetery, under the direction of E. C. Fissell.
