Tacoma Man's Rites Are Set

ROCHESTER - A former Rochester resident, Leonard Robert Betts, died Sunday in a hospital in Tacoma, where he had lived for 22 years. He was employed as a lineman for Tacoma City Light.

The deceased was born May 24, 1910, at Rochester and grew up in the district.

Surviving the deceased are his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Mrs. Sheila Wilson and Miss Leah Betts, both of Tacoma; his mother, Mrs. Earl Shaffner, Bucoda; two brothers, Clarence Betts, Rochester, and Floyd Betts, Bucoda; five sisters, Mrs. Julia Morris, Olympia; Mrs. Ida French and Mrs. Gladys Drake, Centralia; Mrs. Laura Orens, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Hilda Bowen, Tacoma, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at Buckley-King in Tacoma Wednesday at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at the South Tacoma mausoleum.
