Ella Jane "Jayne" Allison McCarley submitted this photo of her Grandpa George R. Allison and his brother John as young men. "Their mother Mary Elizabeth sent this photo to her brother, Dr. John H. Kennedy. He was a physician in Waitsburg. I think her handwriting is beautiful. She probably went to school in Iowa as her step-mother could not read or write and she was 18 when they came across the Oregon Trail. I was fortunate to recieve his photo Album as he has no living descendents."
