The Week's Social Events At Onalaska
Onalaska, Oct. 21 - The Onalaska O. E. S. at its regular meeting last Thursday night held initation at which time Miss Bertha James became a member. At the close of the evening a social hour was enjoyed, after which lunch was served.
Mrs. H. L. Lauderdale and small son and Miss Madeline Kinsek visited in Portland Friday.
Allen Austin made a business trip to Seattle Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Griffiths left Sunday for a few days visit in Portland with their daughters, Mrs. F. C. Waldron and Miss Maude Griffiths. Mrs. Griffiths will visit in Heppner, Ore. before returning home.
Mrs. Lenora Cosgrove of Aberdeen spent the week end with her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Hatch.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foster of Stevenson visited Saturday with Wm. Bullard.
Emil Giers, who has been visiting in Long Beach, Calif., spent the week end with his father, Fred Giers.
Miss Grayce Rowe, who has been spending the summer with her aunt, Mrs. W. A. Rawlins, left Sunday for her home in New Rockford, N. Dak.
A daughter was born Tuesday, October 6, to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hakes.
Little Miss Jessie Wofford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Wofford, had the misfortune to break her right arm while playing around a fence in the yard last Tuesday after school.
Mrs. M. H. Kreiter and small son spent last week with relatives in Auburn.
Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Lauderdale and son visited in Tacoma Sunday with Mrs. Lauderdale's father.
Dr. S. E. P. White spent several days last week in Seattle on business.
Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Conneley left Monday for a few weeks' visit at Colville.
Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Hobson spent the week end in Olympia with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hitchcock.
