The entire Winlock community was saddened the past week by the death of Winlock's oldest citizen, Mrs. Priscilla Eastman, aged 95, who passed away at the home of her son, Judge A. B. Eastman.

Mrs. Eastman was born October 14, 1846, in Indiana. She was married to Alfred Eastman in 1868, the family later moving to Iowa, where their only child, Arthur B. Eastman, was born at Mayville, February 25, 1870. They came to Winlock in 1920.

One sister, Mrs. Harriett Dowling, now in the veterans' hospital at Retail, survives her, besides her son. Grandchildren are Miss Margaret Eastman, now in the U. S. Transport service in Alaska; Arthur B. Eastman, Jr., in the U. S. Navy somewhere with the Atlantic fleet, and William C. Eastman, with the U. S. army at Sheppard Field, Texas.

Her husband, Alfred Eastman, a Civil war veteran, passed away April 18, 1923.
