Commencement Exercises Are Enjoyed At Randle

Randle, June 7. - The graduation exercises of the Randle high school were held Thursday evening in the school auditoriam with Mr. Emery Asbury, principal of the Gault intermediate school of Tacoma, as the main speaker of the evening. His address on "Widening Horizons," was enjoyed by everyone. Miss Aileen Kerr was valedictoria and she also was awarded the Torch pin by the Torch society, a scholarship for outstanding ability, and a W. S. C. scholarship. Other awards went to Gordon Green for outstanding work in school activities and to Charles Riebli [sic] for his athletic ability. Supt William Waxmuth of Morton made the awards and presented diplomas to the following graduates: Clair Blankenship, Lydia Boyer, Gloria Boyer, Gloria Buchanan, Lois Clevinger, Hubert DeRossett, Lloyd Goble, Bernard Green, Gordon Green, Marjorie Hugh, Aileen Kerr, George Lewis, Bernice Mills and Charles Reible.
