Howard Macomber Honored By Surprise Party

Star Route, Chehalis, Nov. 24. - Howard Macomber had a surprise Wednesday evening when a number of friends walked in and reminded him that it was his birthday. He received three beautiful birthday cakes and several other gifts. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Macomber and family those present were Mr. and Mrs. E. Saunders and Mrs. James Shearer of Centralia; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Macomber, Mr. and Mrs. John Stover and Mr. and Mrs. James Mathisesen.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Chapell, Mrs. Carl Rasmussen and Miss Marian heyer attended markland's sale Monday.

Mrs. Mary Stover spent last week in Centralia with her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Post.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Macomber spent the week end in Portland visiting Mrs. Macomber's mother, Mrs. A. Rae.

Mrs. Fred Petersen attended the Free and Easy club which met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Louderdale, Onalaska.

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Macomber of Oakville visited their parents. Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Macomber Friday.

Mrs. Florence Gawley has gone to Napavine to help care for Mrs. Helmick, who is quite ill.

Earl Randall has returned to his home in Yakima after spending a few days here with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Renner.
