Death Takes Randle Man

RANDLE - A school bus driver for the White Pass school district, Walter James Churchel, 64, Randle, died Thursday in a Morton hospital following a short illness.

Born May 16, 1897, at Lansing, Mich., Mr. Churchel had been a resident of the Cispus Valley area of Randle for 30 years. He was a veteran of World War I.

In addition to the widow, Henrietta, at home, survivors incude a son, Walter James Churchel Jr., Randle; four daughters, Mrs. Adaline Wood, Seattle; Mrs. Emma Pruitt, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Loleta Johnson and Mrs. Eva Jean Wilson, both ot Tacoma; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Cower, Hoquiam, and Mrs. Margaret Valentine, Ocean City; two brothers, Joe, Whidbey Island, and Harold, Aberdeen, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Silver Brook Community church, at Randle, with the Rev. Raymond Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Silver Creek cemetery under the direction of the Fissell Funeral Home, Morton.
