1910 Federal Census for Cowlitz Co., Washington

I began to transcribe the 1910 census for Cowlitz Co., Washington from Microfilm Series T624, Roll 1655, on file at the Pacific Regional branch of the National Archives in Seattle, WA. I then learned that the Lower Columbia Genealogical Society was making available their 1910 census. Currently, they have posted the index to the 1910 Cowlitz Census, and hope to have individual precincts online soon. For that reason, I will focus my efforts on other census years. The 1910 census records currently on this website will remain there. I really appreciate the efforts of the LCGS in making their census transcription available!! Index to the 1910 Cowlitz Co. Census

For 1910 census transcriptions on the Cowlitz Co., WA GenWeb site, please continue reading this page.

Every attempt was made to faithfully and accurately transcribe the 1910 census. Any fields which were blank in the original census were also left blank in the transcription. Any questionable names are indicated with a "(?)". Alternative spellings are listed when appropriate. An explanation of the column headings included in the transcriptions can be viewed below. I will prepare an every-name index to the census as more precincts are transcribed. In the meantime, the available precincts are searchable from the main search engine.

I would like to annotate the 1910 census with additional information on the individuals listed. If you are researching a particular family listed here, and would like your e-mail address, relavent website, or other information included in the "Comments" column, then please send email Jenny Tenlen.

In the meantime, you can search the Washington State 1910 census index to locate your ancestors in Cowlitz Co. (and most other counties). [The 1910 Census Index is a project of the Washington State Genealogical Society]
